"I have a personally-developed APK that installs fine on older devices, yet every time I try to sideload it on newer phones Google Play Protect refuses the install without even showing a clear “harmful app” notice. The package has not been touched since the original build—no new icons, strings, or code edits—so whatever is triggering the flag is buried in the current signing, manifest, or compiled libraries.

What I need from you: first, a clear diagnosis of the exact policy or signature mismatch causing the block; second, the concrete steps (and if necessary the rebuilt artefacts) that let me install the app cleanly while staying 100 % compliant with Google Play Protect and the underlying Android security model.
