"I’m building a cloud-based platform that can take any bank statement—whether it’s a native PDF, a scanned image, or even a password-protected file—and turn it into clean, structured data. Once processed, I need to be able to push that data out instantly in CSV, Excel and JSON formats; if you can also give users the option to download a summarized PDF, that’s a bonus.

Core capabilities I’m after:
• Multilingual OCR that recognises characters reliably in the main European and Asian languages.
• Automatic transaction categorisation that learns over time and can be manually corrected by the user.
• Detection and separate tagging of VAT/GST amounts wherever they appear.
• An analytics layer that lets me surface spending trends, category totals and other insightful metrics without forcing users to export first.

The workflow should feel simple: upload → unlock (if encrypted) → review → export/analyse. I don’t mind which stack you use as long as it’s well-documented, test-covered and exposes an API so we can embed it in other products later.
