Project description:
"When I launch my main Python program straight from a PowerShell console it behaves perfectly, but as soon as I try to invoke that same program from a second Python script through the subprocess module nothing runs at all—no errors, no output, the script simply never executes.
I am on Windows and every test so far points to something in the hand-off between Python → subprocess → PowerShell.
I will provide:
• both .py files (the caller and the working target)
• the exact subprocess command I’m using
• console logs that show the silent failure
What I need back:
• a corrected call or wrapper that reliably starts the target script from the parent Python process
• a clear explanation of why the original approach failed (environment, quoting, execution policy, etc.) so I can avoid it in the future
• any minimal changes required to the existing code, not a complete rewrite
Please keep solutions limited to native Python and built-in Windows PowerShell tools—no third-party launchers unless absolutely necessary. A short, tested snippet or a brief screen-sharing session is ideal; I’ll confirm once the script executes end-to-end from the parent process without manual intervention."
