"My public-facing website is intermittently throwing HTTP 429 “Too Many Requests”. I have confirmed the traffic is legitimate, so simply slowing calls is not an option—I need the same request volume to flow, just without the rate-limit trips.

Key limitations
• I do not have direct access to tweak the web-server (no Nginx/Apache/IIS config changes on my side).
• All mitigation must therefore happen at the application layer, through headers, intelligent queuing, caching, or other creative techniques that keep performance unchanged.

What I expect from you
1. Analyse current request patterns (I can supply logs, HAR files, or grant temporary app-level access).
2. Identify the precise trigger for the 429 responses and outline possible fixes that do not rely on server-level configuration.
3. Implement the chosen solution—code patch, middleware, CDN rule, or another proven approach—and demonstrate that pages load at the original speed under the same load without the error.
4. Provide a brief write-up so I can maintain or extend the fix later.

Acceptance criteria
• No 429 responses during a sustained test equal to our current peak traffic.
• Measurable page-load time stays at, or improves on, the current baseline.
• Clear documentation of changes and how to roll back if ever required.
