Project description:
"I’m building a productivity application centred on calendar integration and need a seasoned JSP developer to take ownership of the core back-end and web front-end. The project must serve three client surfaces—iOS, Android and Web—through a single JavaServer Pages stack that exposes clean REST endpoints and a responsive browser interface.
Scope of work
• Architect and code the JSP layer that handles user accounts, event CRUD, recurring rules, reminders and timezone handling.
• Expose well-documented JSON APIs that the mobile teams can call for authentication, calendar synchronisation and real-time updates.
• Build the web client in JSP/HTML5 so users get the same calendar experience directly in the browser.
• Implement OAuth2 and optional integration hooks for Google, Outlook and Apple calendars.
• Unit test, document and deploy to a staging server (Tomcat preferred) so I can run acceptance tests on all three platforms.
Acceptance criteria
1. New events, edits and deletions propagate in under five seconds across iOS, Android and Web when devices are online.
2. External calendar sync completes without data loss and supports at least 1,000 events per user.
3. All endpoints are covered by automated tests with 80 %+ line coverage.
4. Installation instructions let me spin up the app with a single Gradle command on a fresh machine.
If you’ve shipped JSP-based REST services before and are comfortable tuning Tomcat, caching layers and SQL databases for concurrency, let’s speak; I’ll share the UI mock-ups and the sprint plan." (client-provided description)
