"The task is to weave full Google Chat functionality into our existing web UI so that our internal users can communicate without ever leaving the product. Our app already handles authentication and user management; the new chat layer must respect those sessions and map each logged-in user to the corresponding Google Workspace account.

What has to work inside the current interface:
• real-time message notifications whenever someone posts in a space or DM
• native file sharing straight from the chat pane to Google Drive
• event scheduling that drops meetings onto participants’ Google Calendars

On top of the standard chat features we also need a lightweight bot that can watch conversations, send automated responses to common keywords, and spin up tasks in our system when a slash command is used. Bot actions should be configurable through a simple JSON file so non-developers can tweak replies or task templates later.

Code quality matters: use the official Google Chat API (or the newer Google Chat REST endpoints if you prefer) and keep the logic in clean modules so we can extend it down the road. A short setup guide plus inline comments are plenty; no glossy documentation needed.

Deliverables:
1. Integrated chat module wired into our UI and auth flow
2. Bot script with automated responses and task-creation hooks
3. Deployment instructions and a quick demo video that proves the above three bullet points work in a live environment
