"Summary
Project Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned crowdfunding specialist to craft and launch a high-impact Kickstarter (or similar platform) campaign for a gamified, multi-cultural educational app that connects people globally through geo-tagged music and stories. Think Pokémon GO meets Spotify: high schoolers race collectible tokens (sleek, serial-numbered ball markers) to pin trending songs from cities like Budapest or Shanghai on a global map, fostering cultural exchange and pen pal connections. The campaign will highlight our web-based prototype and gamification features like leaderboards, AR token hunts, and a Founders Wall.
To ensure confidentiality, the app and company names remain undisclosed until an NDA is signed. Funding ($45K goal) will support mobile app development, tmuoken production (beautiful metal ball markers under $1/unit in bulk), marketing, and market launch. We’re part of a for-profit LLC with a nonprofit arm in development, blending commercial and social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a compelling campaign narrative: write a one-pager, video script, and pitch emphasizing gamified geo-music features (e.g., token races, music pinning, pen pal swaps).
Design reward tiers: e.g., Founders Wall ($1+), Digital Badge ($25), Founders Coin ($50, serial-numbered ball marker).
Set up the Kickstarter/GoFundMe page: integrate visuals/mockups, web app demo, and gamified elements for teen/school appeal.
Create a 4-week pre-launch hype plan: email 20-30 seed backers (educators, #EdTech/#TeenMusic influencers), X/TikTok teasers (#GeoMusic), and a launch strategy to hit 30% funding in 48 hours.
Execute launch: manage ad setup ($100-200 for #GeoEd ads), initial engagement, and weekly updates.
Deliver a post-launch report: metrics (pledges, shares) and optimization tips.
Requirements
Proven Track Record: Provide 2-3 links to successful Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaigns you’ve launched (ideally EdTech/gamified apps, $20K+ raises).
Independent Work: Self-manage a 4-week timeline (Week 1: draft, Week 2: setup, Week 3-4: hype/launch) with minimal oversight, using Slack/email.
Gamification Expertise: Experience crafting pitches for interactive apps (e.g., leaderboards, collectibles like our ball marker coins).
Platform Skills: Proficient in Kickstarter setup, Canva/Loom for visuals, Google Sheets for tracking.
Location: Remote/global, flexible time zones
What We Offer
Budget: $500–$750 fixed paid in milestones (25% post plan, 25% defined milestone, 50% post-launch + $1000 once crowdfunding closes + with add'l bonus for every $10,000 over we receive).
To be clear bidding here is up to $750 (my budget) but once crowdfunding completes we can do rest.
Timeline: 4 weeks to launch (start ASAP, target late October 2025).
Incentives (open for discussion):
Portfolio credit: “Campaign by [Your Name]” on page and Founders Wall.
Ongoing work: Priority for post-launch marketing ($500/month).
