"I’m building a mobile-first web application that lets customers browse a restaurant’s menu, add items to a cart by quantity or by weight, and place their order with Cash on Delivery as the sole payment method. The entire flow must feel as smooth as a native app yet live entirely in the browser.

Core flow
• Guests can explore the menu freely and start filling the cart without logging in.
• At checkout they’re prompted for a one-time-password sent to their mobile number; successful OTP verification instantly creates the account or signs them in.
• Once confirmed, the system stores the order and displays a clear “Order Placed” screen that highlights the COD amount due at the door.

Technical expectations
The front end needs to be fully responsive so it looks and behaves flawlessly on small screens. I’m comfortable with any modern stack—feel free to suggest React, Vue, Svelte, or plain HTML/CSS/JS as long as performance stays snappy. Server-side code should expose lightweight endpoints for menu retrieval, cart updates, OTP verification, and order submission. Use any reliable SMS gateway for the OTP step; Twilio is fine, but propose alternatives if you have better regional coverage.

Deliverables
- Responsive front-end with intuitive add-to-cart interactions (quantity and weight picker)
- Back-end endpoints and database schema for menu, cart, users, and orders
- OTP login/signup module wired to an SMS gateway
- Order confirmation logic storing COD orders and returning a clear status payload
- Deployment instructions plus a brief read-me so I can spin it up on my own server or hosting of choice
