"I am building new firmware for an nRF52-based IoT device and need an engineer who can bring the CH201 ultrasonic sensor online quickly and cleanly. The goal is simple: power-efficient, rock-solid distance readings delivered through well-structured C/C++ code that drops straight into either the nRF5 SDK or nRF Connect SDK.
What matters most is hands-on familiarity with Nordic chips, I²C at the register level, and low-power design techniques. If you have already wrestled with the CH201 or a similar ultrasonic part, you will feel right at home.
The firmware must support all three operating modes I require:
• Continuous distance measurement
• Triggered (single-shot) distance measurement
• Deep sleep mode that minimises current when the sensor is idle
Deliverables
1. Source code that initialises the CH201, performs distance measurements in the modes above, and compiles for the nRF52 series.
2. Inline comments plus a short integration guide explaining any required pin assignments, clock settings, and build flags.
3. (Nice-to-have) a minimal demo task or log output so I can verify that measurements are valid on first flash.
Low-energy Bluetooth experience is a welcome bonus because the next milestone will involve pushing these readings over BLE.
