"I want a clean, responsive taxi-booking website crafted entirely in React.js. The core screens need to let a visitor choose pickup and drop-off points, review a calculated fare, and confirm the ride; once confirmed, the interface should show a simple ride-status page that updates as mock data changes. While I am mainly concerned with the front-end, I will need the components wired to placeholder API endpoints so I can later connect a real back-end or third-party dispatch service.

Please organise the project with modern React patterns (functional components, hooks, React Router) and style it so it looks polished on both desktop and mobile. Feel free to use a UI library such as Material UI or Bootstrap if it speeds development.
