Each work session you will grab a ticket from Trello, create a feature branch in Git, and submit a merge request when you are done. Typical tickets range from extending controllers, models, and migrations to updating or creating new Smarty templates so that front-end behaviour matches fresh business logic. Bug fixes pop up too, and I expect them handled with the same care: clear commit messages, PSR-12 formatting, and passing tests.
