"I rely on a legacy Windows desktop application that ships as a single .exe. It launches perfectly on Windows 11 x64/x86 machines, but on my Windows 11 ARM laptop it simply does nothing—no error dialog, no crash report, just a silent exit. Compatibility mode was the first thing I tried and it had no effect.

I do not have the source code; I only have the compiled binary, so recompiling isn’t an option from my side. What I need is a practical, legally sound way to run this exact executable on the ARM device without losing any functionality the x86 version provides. Whether that involves patching the binary, bundling the right DLLs, invoking Windows on ARM’s x86 emulation correctly, wrapping it in a lightweight container, or another creative technique, I’m open to whatever works—provided the final result is as simple as double-clicking and having the program open normally.
