Project description:
"I’m expanding my current fitness app so it can pair with the most common wearables—Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, and ideally any recent Wear OS device—and deliver precise haptic cues to guide users through timed movements or postures. The goal is simple: while the phone tracks the session, the watch should vibrate at preset intervals (or on detected movement completion) without the user needing to look at a screen.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A clean connection workflow for each platform (HealthKit / WatchConnectivity for Apple Watch, Fitbit Web API & SDK, Garmin Connect IQ, and a Wear OS equivalent) that streams motion-sensor data to the mobile app in real time.
• A haptic feedback module that I can call from my app to fire short/long vibrations on the watch based on my timer or sensor triggers.
• Clear documentation and sample code I can drop into my existing React Native project (native modules are fine if necessary).
Acceptance criteria
1. Demo project pairs successfully with the four target devices and displays live accelerometer data.
2. Calling a simple function, e.g., triggerHaptic(“short”), makes the watch vibrate within 200 ms.
3. All code builds with current public SDKs and is accompanied by setup notes for Xcode, Android Studio, and the respective vendor simulators/emulators.
If you’ve shipped cross-platform wearable features before and can move fast, let’s talk." (client-provided description)
