"I need a customer-facing portal built on ERPNext that focuses purely on support. The only feature set required for this first phase is a ticketing system submitted through a web form.
Scope of work
• Create a standalone Frappe/ERPNext app or module that plugs into an existing v14 instance.
• Expose a clean, responsive web form (no login required at first) where users enter subject, description, priority, optional file upload, and contact details.
• On submission, generate an Issue or custom DocType ticket, assign default status, and trigger ERPNext email alerts.
• Provide an authenticated dashboard where returning customers can view ticket history, status updates, and add follow-up comments.
• Follow ERPNext permission model so internal agents can claim, reassign, or close tickets from the standard desk.
• Keep code and UI consistent with standard Frappe patterns; no external JS frameworks unless justified.
Acceptance criteria
1. A fresh ERPNext site can be bench get-app/bench install-app to replicate the portal.
2. Ticket submission, email notification, and status changes work end-to-end without errors.
3. README covers installation, configuration variables, and how to add extra fields later.
Python, Frappe, Jinja, and Bootstrap are expected tools. Future phases may extend to live chat or an FAQ, so write modular code that allows easy enhancement." (client-provided description)
