Project description:
"I need a native Android application that lays the groundwork for a new social network. The first milestone is a solid, well-architected user-profile module: sign-up and sign-in, editable personal profile (photo, bio, location, interests), image upload to cloud storage, and a simple search/browse screen to discover other members. Smooth Material-design UI, responsive layouts, and clean navigation are essential so the app feels familiar and modern right away.

Please build in Android Studio with Kotlin (Java is acceptable if you have a strong preference) and follow current Android Jetpack best practices—MVVM, LiveData/Flow, ViewBinding or Compose, and Room/Firebase/SQLite for local persistence. The code must be modular and thoroughly commented because additional features such as private messaging or a news feed may follow.

Deliverables
• APK and full source code in a Git repository
• Brief README explaining project structure, build steps, and any third-party libraries used
• One short Loom or screen-record demo showing profile creation, edit, and search in action
