"Billing information coming back from the FedEx APIs looks perfect in the incoming .in file, yet the “Bill duties to” field shows up wrong once it reaches the UI. Because the problem survives every refresh of the Summary, Detailed breakdown and Invoice views, I’m confident the real issue lives in the Spring Boot back-end layer rather than the front-end.

I’ve isolated the flow to a custom FedEx rating/label module, but need a fresh set of eyes to:

• trace the request–response chain,
• pinpoint where the billing payload is being transformed or overwritten, and
• supply a clean fix plus regression tests so all three UI sections render the correct data every time.

You’ll be working in a standard Java 17 / Spring Boot codebase that already uses FedEx REST endpoints for rating, label generation and tracking. A short, focused engagement is all that’s required: fork the repo, reproduce the bug with the supplied test shipment, push the patch, prove it with automated tests and I’ll handle deployment to production.
