"I’m wrapping up a multivendor marketplace built on WordPress + WooCommerce, using a premium CodeCanyon theme that’s already installed and running. Before launch I need a specialist to tighten two areas—product categorisation and the payments workflow—so vendors and customers experience a smooth, logical store.

We are looking for an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce developer who can take our provided category structure and configure it properly inside the theme demo, activate the payment system, integrate shipping options, and ensure everything works smoothly.

What Needs to Be Done:
Category & Menu Setup

Create all categories & subcategories in WooCommerce (document will be provided).

Configure the main menu as: Home | Shop | Fashion | Beauty | Electronics | Home & Living | Grocery | Brands.

Implement the Shop mega-menu with all 12 departments:

Grocery & Fruits

Home & Furniture

Fashion & Accessories

Beauty & Personal Care

Pets

Baby & Kids

Sport & Outdoor

Ensure all menu links and slugs are SEO-friendly.

Set up the Brands page (vendor/store directory).

Payment System :

Configure and activate a working payment gateway (WooCommerce Payments, Stripe, PayPal, or Flutterwave for Africa).

Test and confirm checkout process end-to-end.

Shipping Options

Configure multivendor shipping options (flat rate, local pickup, vendor-specific shipping, and regional delivery).

Ensure shipping settings align with African and international courier/logistics providers (e.g., DHL, Aramex, FedEx, local couriers).

Test shipping methods during checkout to ensure vendors and customers can select correct shipping options.

Demo Cleanup & Testing

Remove/replace all demo placeholders from our theme.

Check all category pages, menus, cart, checkout, my account, wishlist, compare, vendor registration.

Verify mobile & desktop responsiveness.

Provide a short test report confirming everything works (categories, slugs, payments, shipping).

- Requirements:

Proven experience with WooCommerce multivendor setups (Dokan, WC Marketplace, or similar).

Strong knowledge of WordPress themes (preferably CodeCanyon multivendor themes).

Ability to configure payment and shipping gateways (including testing).

Good attention to detail (SEO-friendly slugs, menu accuracy, responsive design).

Fully configured WooCommerce categories & mega-menu.

Payment gateway activated & tested.

Shipping options integrated & tested.

Demo content cleaned and replaced with working links.

Test report covering all navigation, payments, shipping, and checkout flows.

What I expect you to handle
• Review the existing category tree, reorganise it into a clear parent / child hierarchy, add any missing attributes or taxonomies, and make sure filters, menus, breadcrumbs and search all reference the new structure correctly.
• Activate and fully configure payment gateway inside WooCommerce and the marketplace add-on bundled with the theme. That includes sandbox testing, live mode switch-over, and making sure vendor commissions flow according to the plugin settings (instant split or scheduled withdrawals, whichever the theme supports).
• Deliver short hand-over notes or a Loom screencast so I can repeat or adjust settings later.
