Description:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to enhance a custom plugin used across a multisite installation (one WordPress instance powering multiple websites).

Context

We host websites for snowmobile clubs. Each club can update the trail conditions on their site, which are then displayed in a table for visitors. In addition to trail-specific conditions, each club can update a global condition status (a summary of the overall club’s trail status).

Important: This global condition status is also displayed on external information websites using a separate plugin that you will not need to modify. The new functionality will be added only within the current plugin managing the conditions.

The new feature will be tied to the saving process of this global condition entry.

New Feature Requirements

When the global condition is saved:

An image must be generated and saved in /wp-content/uploads/conditions/.

Filename format: [login to view URL] (where XXX = the club’s number).

If the file already exists, it should be overwritten.

The image must include:

The club’s name

A conditions table (design provided as reference)

A legend

A red-colored note

After saving, a clickable link (with preview) of the generated image should be displayed in the condition management tool (either in a popup or inline).

Development Standards

All code must follow WordPress coding standards.

Any modified functions must include a comment with the modification date (yyyy-mm-dd).

For modified lines, keep the original line commented above the new one.

New lines in existing functions must include inline comments explaining their purpose.

All new functions must include a header comment with a full explanation and date.

Additional Information

Access to a test environment will be provided.

A reference image/table layout will be shared as an attachment to the project description.

Skills Required:

Strong WordPress plugin development experience

Familiarity with multisite environments

PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/jQuery

GD Library or ImageMagick for dynamic image generation

Attention to clean, well-documented code

Deliverables:

Updated plugin with the described feature fully integrated and tested
