"I need a lightweight Android demo that behaves just like UNHCR’s Verify Plus: the moment the user launches it, the camera opens, a QR code is read, and the member’s BioData screen pops up.

The focus is the BioData display, so once the code is decoded I want a clean profile page showing photo, full name, ID number, nationality and any extra fields you think illustrate the flow. For the sake of the demo the data can live locally—hard-coded, bundled JSON, or another simple method you prefer—no back-end is required right now.

Feel free to lean on CameraX, ML Kit, ZXing or another reliable library for scanning; just keep the start-to-scan time fast and permissions concise. Kotlin is ideal, though solid Java is fine. Target Android 8.0+ and supply both the APK and readable source so I can build in Android Studio.
