Project description:
"I am moving our entire budgeting workflow out of an Excel file and into a secure website so several colleagues can work at the same time without breaking formulas. The new platform has to let each user create an account with a simple email-and-password login, then begin entering—or importing—a full list of itemised expenses.
For expenses I need two input paths: a clean manual form as well as a CSV/XLSX upload that lands the numbers directly in the database. Salaries are entered once at their annual gross value; the system must automatically add a 35 % benefits load and still let users distribute the total across multiple budget buckets before saving.
On the reporting side, the site should reproduce everything the current spreadsheet does and more. At a minimum it must generate:
• an Expense Summary that rolls up totals by bucket and period
• a Salaries Detail view showing base pay, benefits, and how each amount is split
• truly Customised Reports where I can choose fields, filters, or date ranges and export the result to Excel or PDF
I expect clean, responsive screens (desktop first, tablet friendly), role-based data access, and a back-end that can scale if we add departments later. Whether you prefer React + Node, Django, or another modern stack is fine as long as the code is well-documented and the database structure is easy to back up.
Deliverable is a deployed site (or a Docker image) plus source code in Git with setup instructions so my internal IT team can take over maintenance once the project is signed off." (client-provided description)
