Project description:
"I’m building a focused productivity app for Android that helps users capture, organise, and complete their tasks without relying on any third-party syncing service. The core of the project is a clean, responsive Task Management experience: add, edit, prioritise, set reminders, and mark tasks done—all stored locally on the device.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A modern Android codebase (Kotlin or Java in Android Studio) that follows MVVM or a similarly testable architecture.
• An intuitive UI that feels at home on Android 13 but gracefully degrades to Android 8.
• Local persistence—Room or another efficient on-device database is fine—as long as tasks remain available offline and after app restarts.
• Basic theming with light/dark mode support.
• A small onboarding flow so first-time users understand the main gestures and features.
Because I don’t plan to sync with Google Tasks or Microsoft To-Do, everything must run fully offline, though I’m open to structuring the data layer so cloud integration could be added later.
When you hand the project over, I expect the full Android Studio project, well-commented source code, and a signed release-ready APK. A short README describing build steps and any open-source libraries used will complete the package.
If you’ve shipped lightweight, snappy Android productivity tools before, let’s get this rolling—I’m ready to review your timeline and milestones." (client-provided description)
