Project description:
"My team is building a quick-commerce platform and I’m ready to bring a dedicated front-end developer on board. The back-end API is nearly finished; what’s missing is a polished, high-performance user interface that feels instant, intuitive, and consistent across modern browsers and the latest iOS and Android devices.
Here’s what you’ll tackle:
• Translate Figma wireframes (and the accompanying component library) into clean, reusable code.
• Build the core flows—catalogue, product detail, cart, checkout, real-time order tracking—so they work seamlessly with our REST/GraphQL endpoints.
• Handle responsive behaviour, offline states, and subtle but important micro-interactions such as add-to-cart “snacks” and loading skeletons.
• Optimise bundle size and runtime performance; lighthouse scores in the 90s are a must.
• Set up a CI pipeline for automated linting, unit tests, and simple end-to-end smoke tests to keep releases stable.
Tech we already use: React 18, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, TailwindCSS, Vite, and Expo for native builds. If you have a stronger approach, pitch it—our only hard constraint is that the final codebase stays fully typed and easy to hand over.
Acceptance criteria
1. Every screen in the Figma file is implemented pixel-perfectly.
2. All interactive states match the prototype and pass UX QA.
3. API calls succeed/fail gracefully with proper toasts or fallback UI.
4. Lighthouse desktop + mobile ≥ 90, first contentful paint < 1.5 s on a mid-range device.
5. Code passes eslint, prettier, and 80 % unit-test coverage.
Ship a public test build (Expo + Netlify) at each milestone so stakeholders can review live. Once we reach sign-off, deliver the full repository and deployment scripts; I’ll handle the final production push.
If this sounds like your kind of sprint, tell me about a similar commerce interface you’ve shipped and your typical timeline for something of this scope." (client-provided description)
