"Our QA team already relies on a web-based Calibration & Validation Management System to plan, record, and archive both in-house and vendor work. The core modules are stable, yet everyday use has exposed a few rough edges that now slow us down. I’d like you to dive into the existing codebase, smooth those edges, and deliver a cleaner, faster, and more intuitive experience without disrupting any historical data.

Here is what I need done:
• Refine the current interface so screens load quickly and users can move from asset lists to individual certificates in as few clicks as possible.
• Modernise the look and feel—lightweight, responsive pages that behave well on large monitors and tablets alike.
• Review back-end logic for scheduling, reminders, and status dashboards; eliminate redundant queries and tighten performance where you see obvious gains.
• Add clearer audit-trail visibility so QA can trace who changed what and when, in a format that satisfies regulatory inspectors.
• Package your changes with concise release notes, an updated database script (if schema tweaks are needed), and a short user guide outlining the new flows.

The application is built with a classic ASP.NET MVC stack on SQL Server, hosted on-prem. You will receive Git access to a staging branch plus a sanitized copy of the database for local testing. Once the upgrade is complete and signed off on staging, I’ll handle the production push—though I welcome your standby support during go-live.
