"I need a lightweight, browser-based application that lets our engineering team log every equipment breakdown, schedule forthcoming preventive tasks, and retrieve a clear history of what has been done and when. The main objective is to replace our current spreadsheets with an online tool so records are always up to date and accessible from the workshop floor, the supervisor’s office, or my phone while I am off-site.

Here is what matters to me:
• Core modules for registering new breakdowns, editing existing entries, and closing them once the fix is verified.
• A preventive-maintenance calendar that automatically shows what is due, what is late, and what is complete.
• Dashboards that highlight recurring issues, meantime-between-failure trends, and compliance to the maintenance plan.
• Secure login so technicians, supervisors, and managers see only what they need, yet I can still audit every change.
• Export or print options for monthly review meetings.

I am open on the tech stack as long as the end product is web-based, intuitive, and can run on our in-house server (Windows Server 2019, IIS available). Feel free to propose the framework you are most efficient with—Laravel, Django, Node/Express, or even a well-structured low-code platform if it meets the brief.
