Budget: Recommended by industry experts
Time to start: As soon as possible
Project description:
"Our team is preparing a full-scale launch in Japan and I need a specialist who can make every touchpoint—from the box on the shelf to the final call-to-action—feel as though it was conceived in Tokyo, not translated elsewhere. The focus is Asia, specifically Japanese, and the scope covers three concrete areas:
• Packaging copy and layout
• User manuals (both print-ready files and web PDFs)
• Marketing materials, including campaign taglines and short-form social posts
I will supply the original English source files (InDesign/Illustrator for packaging, Word and PDF for manuals, and mixed formats for marketing). Your job is to:
1. Craft natural, market-appropriate Japanese that respects local regulations, cultural nuances, and character limits.
2. Return fully formatted assets that slot straight back into our production workflow. CAT-tool consistency (e.g., Trados or memoQ) and an eye for typography will be important.
3. Flag any cultural or regulatory issues early so we can adjust artwork before print.
Acceptance criteria: print-ready packaging AI files, linguistically accurate manuals ready for upload, and marketing copy that passes an in-market review by our Japanese partner. If this sounds like your specialty, let’s talk timelines and hand-off milestones." (client-provided description)
