"I’m looking for an experienced Abaqus user-subroutine (VUMAT) developer to implement the NGI-ADP constitutive model for Abaqus/Explicit and produce a clear, step-by-step tutorial video explaining the full workflow (from theory → coding → compiling → running → verifying). My goal is to learn from your implementation so I can extend it and write another subroutine myself.
Deliverables
Working VUMAT source (.for/.f90) implementing NGI-ADP, including:
Stress integration algorithm and return-mapping strategy
State variable (SDV) definitions and update rules (document SDV order)
Rate/strain-softening/anisotropy terms as required by the model
Numerical safeguards for Explicit (stability, bounds checks, etc.)
Example models (Abaqus input files) that run out-of-the-box:
Simple element-level patch/verification tests (e.g., monotonic triaxial, simple shear)
A small 3D demo problem (e.g., C3D8R) showing characteristic NGI-ADP behavior
Build & usage package:
Compile scripts/instructions for my environment (Windows or Linux; Intel oneAPI/ifort or gfortran; Visual Studio if Windows)
ReadMe with material parameter list, units, *User Material card example, *Depvar count, recommended time increment settings, and typical pitfalls
Tutorial video (screen recording + audio):
NGI-ADP model overview (inputs, yield/plastic potential, hardening/softening)
VUMAT skeleton & variable walkthrough (STRAN/DFGRD/S, SDVs, PEEQ, etc.)
Step-by-step coding of the stress update and SDV updates
Compiling/linking the subroutine; resolving common errors
Setting up and running the example .inp jobs; checking results in CAE/ODB
How to extend/modify the code (so I can build my next subroutine)
