Project Overview

I’m looking for an experienced mobile app developer (or small team) to build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of an AI companion app.

The core concept is a chatbot that acts like a virtual partner (AI bf/gf) — but with a twist: the AI can also call the user throughout the day (via VoIP push notifications), making the interaction feel more human.

1. User Accounts / Login
• Simple email or Google/Apple login
• Basic profile (name, gender, preferred AI personality)
2. Chat System
• Text chat with AI (using OpenAI or similar API)
• Conversation history stored in backend
3. Voice Interaction
• AI replies with realistic voice (text-to-speech via ElevenLabs, PlayHT, or similar)
• Option to switch between multiple voices
4. VoIP Calling
• AI can initiate “phone calls” via VoIP push notifications
• When answered, user enters a live audio chat with the AI
• (Think WhatsApp-style incoming call screen)
5. Backend & APIs
• Store user data, chat logs, subscription status
• Connect to OpenAI/Anthropic for AI
