We also provide programmatic advertising management services for transit agencies and their advertising partners. The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and technically-minded Part-Time Software Project Manager to oversee our content delivery and advertising integration projects. This role offers flexible hours and the ability to grow into a full-time salaried position as our project demands increase. While this is primarily a project management role, we welcome candidates with software development experience who are open to writing integration code as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Manage the entire lifecycle of software integration projects, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication between internal teams and external transit agency clients.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, presenting progress and technical details to non-technical partners with exceptional clarity and professionalism (both written and verbal).
Technical Oversight: Be the bridge between editorial content and technical delivery. You will need to become well-versed in the various data feeds we work with, including content sources, ad feeds, and destination platforms.
Content Feed Management: Understand and troubleshoot the flow of content, which involves accepting feeds from an online video CDN and distributing them to various locations using MRSS.
Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects, system architecture, and integration steps.
Technical Flexibility (Optional): If warranted and you are up to the task, you may be engaged to write integration code to help connect content and advertising feeds to client systems.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Exceptional Communication: Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues and project statuses clearly, both in professional writing and with a confident on-screen presence for remote meetings.
Project Management Acumen: Demonstrated experience managing software or technical integration projects from conception through launch.
Technical Literacy: A strong working understanding of the full-stack development process and the structure of content delivery systems.
Adaptability: A strong desire and willingness to learn the specifics of our content delivery system, including various feed structures and client requirements.
Desirable (Preferred) Qualifications
Content Feed Experience: Familiarity with RSS, MRSS (Media RSS), and/or the use of headless CMS solutions.
Coding Proficiency: Experience in an object-oriented or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and the willingness to contribute to integration code when necessary.
Industry Interest: A genuine interest in the intersection of sports media and digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising.
