"I need a lightweight, native user interface application written in modern C++ that talks directly to the Win32 API—no Qt, no MFC. The program will run on Windows 10/11 and revolve around a single main window with standard controls; I’ll provide the exact layout and behaviour once we start, but you can assume a menu bar, a toolbar, several form fields, and a list-view area to get the architecture in place.

What matters most to me is clean, idiomatic Win32 code: a solid message loop, clear separation between UI logic and data handling, and thoughtful error handling. Please organise the source in a Visual Studio solution, target x64, and keep external dependencies to the Windows SDK only.

Deliverables
• Compilable Visual Studio solution (C++17 or newer)
• 64-bit Release build executable
• Well-commented source explaining key Win32 calls and any helper classes
• Short README covering build steps and any configuration notes

Acceptance will be based on the project building out-of-the-box, matching the supplied UI spec, and staying under 30 MB for the final executable.
