"I’m building a mobile application that blends the best parts of Truecaller with a real-time, two-way voice translator. When a user dials or receives a call, the app should automatically capture speech, translate it into the other party’s chosen language, and play it back through the phone line with natural-sounding speech synthesis. English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese—and every additional language supported by the underlying engine—must be available from day one.
Core flow
• Incoming or outgoing call is routed through the app.
• Caller ID is resolved just as Truecaller does (cloud lookup, spam detection, contact name overlay).
• While the conversation happens, translation runs continuously in both directions with no manual buttons; users simply talk.
• Finished calls, caller info, and language preferences are stored securely in the user’s contact vault.
Commercial layer
The entire service will be gated by a monthly subscription. Stripe or a comparable in-app purchase flow should unlock tiers (e.g., basic minutes, unlimited, enterprise). I also need a sellable REST/GraphQL API so other developers can subscribe to the translation pipeline independently of the mobile app.
Admin requirements
– Web dashboard to view usage stats, manage subscriptions, add/remove languages.
– Contact storage encrypted at rest. GDPR-style user data export & delete.
– Scalable backend (GCP, AWS, or Azure—open to your recommendation).
– Unit, integration, and latency tests proving translation stays under 300 ms per utterance.
Deliverables
1. iOS and Android apps (React Native, Flutter, or native—state your preference).
2. Backend microservices for caller ID, translation, and billing.
3. API documentation with Postman collection or OpenAPI spec.

Acceptance criteria
• Automatic bidirectional translation functions on a real phone call between two devices in different languages.
• Caller ID accuracy on par with current Truecaller public database tests.
• Subscription paywall blocks over-quota calls.
• All contact data and recordings remain within encrypted storage and pass basic penetration testing.
