"I’m ready to launch an online store that will sell a range of physical products, but instead of relying on Shopify or WooCommerce I want a fully custom-built solution. The core requirement is seamless checkout through a bespoke payment gateway rather than the usual Stripe or PayPal plug-ins.

I want to make a website with a unique payment gateway, but I need this payment gateway script because I will be making other variants of this site and other different sites, so I need to just apply it here and there
The site will be completely normal; just a general website selling many items, nothing special

now about the payment gateway I want it manual not automatic, for example, I need to collect the data from customers (card#, expire date, cvv) then I will manually use them at my private gateway panel when the order is ready to be shipped, just like Amazon does
Now we have a few key factors let's discuss it.
I want to accept orders from people who use valid credit or debit cards only; anyone using a fake card number or the wrong one, then the payment needs to give him an error asking him to check card details or use another one
I want a random amount of people like 30% who will get an error message like your card has been declined; please try another card.
(keep decline if he tries keeping the same card number) and this is to collect 2 cards to use from my side often if one is declined so I try the other.
Because my panel sometimes gives a hard time so I don't lose many orders.
all the orders get a success message that the order has been placed and your card will only be charged when your order is shipped.

• Build the full back-end logic—inventory, pricing, tax, shipping calculators—using the framework or stack you’re most comfortable with.
• Integrate my custom payment API so transactions run end-to-end inside the site, including tokenisation, 3-D Secure and webhook handling for order status updates.
• Ensure security best practices (PCI-DSS compliance, encrypted data in transit and at rest) and provide clear documentation for future audits.
• Deliver a short hand-off guide and, if possible, an automated test suite so I can verify that checkout, refunds and recurring charges all work as expected.
