Project description:
"I want a clean, well-commented firmware project for an ESP32 that will drive two core functions in my home-automation setup: it must switch my lighting circuits through the board’s GPIO-controlled relays and continuously read temperature and humidity so the data appears as live sensors on my dashboard. All of it has to surface seamlessly in Alexa and Google Home via Home Assistant, so MQTT discovery or a comparable integration path needs to be baked in from the start.
The code can be written for Arduino IDE or PlatformIO; choose whichever you are more comfortable with as long as compiling, flashing, and future edits stay straightforward for me. Wi-Fi credentials and MQTT broker details should be stored in an easily editable header or a web configuration page—whichever you prefer—so I can redeploy the same sketch to multiple boards later.
Acceptance criteria
• Switch entities for each lighting channel and separate temperature / humidity sensor entities must appear automatically in Home Assistant and be voice-controllable through Alexa or Google Home without extra YAML edits.
• Response time from voice command to relay action should feel instantaneous (<1 s on a typical 2.4 GHz network).
• Code compiles with no warnings, and the pin map plus a short README explain the wiring clearly.
Please provide the complete source, a brief setup guide, and any external library references so I can reproduce your build on my end." (client-provided description)
