"I need an end-to-end software layer that pulls live weight readings from our industrial scales, stores the data, and instantly publishes clean, branded PDF reports. The scales stream their output via RS-232/Modbus, so your solution must listen to that feed, validate each read, and write it to a small SQL or time-series store where we can query and display trends.

The moment a new reading lands, an operator should be able to open a browser page and watch totals tick up in real time; at the same time, a “Generate Report” button must compile the latest data into a PDF that we can hand straight to QA or shipping without extra formatting.

Key deliverables
• A lightweight service (Python, Node, or similar) that consumes the scale signal and logs it reliably
• Simple web dashboard showing live values and historical graphs
• One-click, well-formatted PDF report with logo, timestamp, and batch metrics
• Installer or clear setup script plus concise documentation
