"I run promotions across three menu categories—Main dishes, Side dishes and Drinks—with individual item prices that can sit anywhere from 50 up to 5,000. When I offer, for instance, a 10 % discount on Main dishes, I still need to know the precise minimum order value (MOV) and the maximum discount I can safely allow so the promotion never eats into my margin. The same logic must apply when the deal is a fixed amount off instead of a percentage.

What I need built is a lightweight calculator (Excel, Google Sheets or a small web app—whichever you prefer) that lets me:

• choose between percentage or fixed discounts on the fly
• set and store separate MOV and discount-cap rules for each of the three categories
• take any price I key in within the 50–5 000 range and instantly return the correct MOV and cap

Please include a short usage guide and a sample data set so I can sanity-check the logic. Once the numbers line up against my own test cases, the project is complete." (client-provided description)
