"I have a public-facing website up and running and now need to bolt on a secure, logged-in area where existing clients can safely share their financial paperwork with me. The new section should let a registered user:

• sign in with email-based verification
• upload PDF and Word documents through an encrypted channel
• view a history of everything they have already sent
• edit their basic profile details
• reset their own password without my intervention

All data—both in transit and at rest—must be protected to current best-practice standards. I am happy for you to recommend the tech stack so long as it integrates cleanly with the present homepage and can live on the same host. Clear, clean code and concise documentation are essential, as this will make future maintenance simpler.

Deliver the fully functioning module, ready to drop into the existing site, plus a short hand-off guide covering installation, database changes (if any), and how to manage user roles.
