End-to-End Development of an AI-Powered Wearable Device and Integrated Software Platform

Project Overview

We are developing a next-generation AI-driven wearable device that uses voice-first intelligence and real-time interaction to deliver contextual assistance and data connectivity.

The project involves creating both the hardware device and the software ecosystem that work together to demonstrate a robust, production-ready prototype. The concept includes AI-based voice processing, secure cloud integration, and seamless communication between hardware and software.

Scope of Work

1. Hardware Development
• Design, prototype, and build a wearable device (small form factor) with:
• Low-power microcontroller or embedded processor (ESP32, STM32, or similar).
• Microphone and speaker for interactive audio exchange.
• Wireless connectivity (Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, optional cellular).
• Rechargeable battery and USB charging circuit.
• Optional sensor inputs (e.g., motion, light, temperature).
• Develop firmware supporting:
• Voice activation and audio processing
• Secure network connectivity (MQTT / HTTPS)
• OTA firmware updates
• Data exchange with the cloud and software platform
• Deliver: Working prototype, schematics, firmware source code, and BOM.


2. Software Development

Mobile and Web Platform
• Develop a mobile app (Android/iOS) and web-based control interface with:
• Voice command input/output functionality
• Real-time data sync with the hardware device
• Integration with the AI API
• Secure user authentication and settings management
• Basic data storage and visualization

Backend / Cloud Infrastructure
• Set up cloud-based services (Firebase / AWS / GCP) for:
• Device and user data management
• API endpoints for AI interaction
• Secure data transfer, storage, and analytics
• System monitoring and scalability


3. AI Integration
• Connect the system with AI layer via REST or WebSocket APIs.
• Enable:
• Voice-to-text and text-to-speech functionality
• Contextual natural language processing
• Real-time AI responses and event triggers

4. Deliverables
• Functional hardware prototype with stable firmware
• Fully integrated mobile + web applications
• Working cloud backend with secure data flow

Ideal Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in AI or IoT-based product development
• Strong skills in embedded systems and firmware programming
• Experience in speech processing / voice interface design
