"I need a custom TDL file that extends Tally (ERP 9 / Prime) with an inventory-valuation feature based exclusively on the Average Cost Method. The default valuation options don’t give me the clarity I want, so the code you provide must calculate and present average-cost figures automatically whenever I open or print stock-related reports.

Core expectations

• The valuation algorithm must reference existing stock ledgers and vouchers, compute a running weighted average, and display the closing value for any chosen period.
• Results should surface inside Tally exactly where users normally look—Stock Summary, Item Monthly Summary, and in a separate “Average Cost Valuation” report for quick export to Excel.
• All fields, labels, and buttons must feel native to Tally, respecting its colour scheme and shortcut keys.
• The solution must come as a compiled .tcp as well as the readable .tdl source with comments, so I can tweak it later.
• No external database; everything should run inside the standard Tally data folder.
