"My legacy data-management program is still running under MS-DOS, but it carries a built-in expiration counter that is about to lock me out. I need the countdown removed or permanently reset so the application starts and functions normally every time.

I do not know whether the original source code is still around, so you may have only the compiled executable to work with. You are welcome to use any method you prefer—disassembly, hex-patching, TSR interception, DOSBox debugging, whatever gets the job done—provided the result is stable on real MS-DOS hardware and in common emulators.

Acceptance will be straightforward:
• The software launches without displaying or enforcing the expiration notice.
• All existing data-management features behave exactly as they do now, just without the time limit.
• No new crashes or data corruption after several consecutive launches.

Once confirmed, please document the exact bytes changed or the routine altered so I can reproduce the fix if needed on another installation." (client-provided description)
