"I have a Windows-based desktop application in executable form only—no source code. My immediate goal is to discover which development environment, compiler, or build chain was originally used to create it, and then learn exactly how to obtain and install that same toolchain so I can reproduce an identical build on my own machine.

You will receive the executable and any supporting files I possess. From there I need:

• A clear identification of the original compiler/IDE (for example Visual Studio, Delphi, MinGW-gcc, etc.) and, if possible, the specific version.
• Step-by-step instructions—URLs, installer names, required SDKs, license notes—so I can set up the identical environment on Windows.
• A concise outline of the build settings or project configuration I would have to mirror once I acquire the toolchain, so I can compile a working replica.

I do not have source code, so your analysis will rely on static inspection of the binary (PE headers, dependency analysis, signature patterns) or any other non-intrusive technique you prefer; tools such as PEiD, Ghidra, IDA Pro, Dependency Walker, or strings are fine as long as the final explanation is clear and reproducible by me.

Acceptance criteria: I can follow your guide on a fresh Windows install, bring up the identified IDE/compiler, and compile a placeholder “Hello World” or skeleton project using settings that match the original application’s characteristics (architecture, libraries, compiler flags).
