Project description:
"I’m looking for a seasoned Salesforce developer who can take full ownership of retiring the legacy pieces still lurking in our org. An initial scan has already flagged three problem spots—Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and a handful of custom objects—so you’ll start with a clear target.
Your mandate is not simply to remove code; the goal is to refactor or rebuild each component with modern, fully-supported alternatives so functionality remains intact (or is improved) while technical debt disappears. I’m open to Lightning Web Components, Flows, or any recommended approach as long as it aligns with current Salesforce best practices and keeps maintenance overhead low.
I’ll provide sandbox access, existing documentation, and clarification on business logic. From you I need:
• a brief, high-level remediation plan that spells out the upgrade path for every affected component
• clean, thoroughly-commented code (minimum 85 % test coverage) deployed to a staging sandbox
• a concise hand-over guide explaining the new architecture, permissions, and any admin-level configurations
Timing is driven by our business milestones rather than an arbitrary deadline, so we’ll set dates together once you’ve assessed effort and dependencies. Strong communication and a methodical approach are crucial—I’d like weekly check-ins, even if brief, to keep risk low and decisions clear.
If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s talk and get a remediation plan in place." (client-provided description)
