"My classified-ads site has several nagging issues, and I need a developer who can knock them out quickly, starting with the most urgent one.

Top priority
• Back linking for email notification: When a user posts an ad the confirmation email should go out with the proper backlink, but right now no email is sent at all. This must be working before anything else.

Other items I’d like addressed once the email is fixed
• Forgot-password page fails to load.
• Add a simple anti-spam filter in the admin panel to make spotting junk posts easier.
• Send user an email whenever a chat message is sent.
• While creating an ad, the address dropdown jumps around, and missing-field errors are never shown—users get a vague “something went wrong” even though the ad still posts.
• When changing the ad-expiration setting in the admin panel for a category it does not adhere to the new expiration timeline
- Updates need to work for website, IOS and Android app that we have.

Target outcome
A clean, well-commented code update that restores each function, shows clear on-screen validation messages, and respects the expiration rules I set. If you touch database schema or config files, document the changes.

Tech stack is typical PHP/MySQL on a shared host. Please be comfortable troubleshooting email (SMTP or SendGrid), PHP forms, and JavaScript validation.
