We are building a cutting-edge mobile application that provides users with a personalized, data-driven, and engaging fitness journey. We are a small, passionate team looking for a technical leader to own our application's development and drive our product to the next level.

About the Role
As our founding Tech Lead, you will be the cornerstone of our engineering efforts. You will take full ownership of our Flutter application, from hands-on development to high-level architectural decisions. Working closely with our project management team, you will translate innovative fitness features into clean, scalable, and high-performance code. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a promising product and grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Development: Lead the end-to-end development of our Flutter mobile application, ensuring code quality, performance, and stability.
* Architect & Build: Architect and implement robust solutions for new features, leveraging our existing stack (Flutter, Riverpod, Firebase, Isar) and proposing new technologies where appropriate.
* Hands-On Coding: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Dart code, and actively participate in code reviews to maintain high standards.
* Technical Strategy: Collaborate with project managers to understand feature requirements, provide technical feasibility analysis, and define the technical roadmap.
* Deployment & CI/CD: Manage the entire application lifecycle, including building, testing, and deploying to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
* Future-Tech Implementation: Research, prototype, and lead the implementation of advanced features, including:
* Computer Vision: For real-time user posture correction during exercises.
* Wearable Integration: Connecting with Apple Watch (WatchOS) and Garmin devices.
* AI Integration: Building and refining an in-app LLM assistant using services like Google Generative AI.
* Mentorship: As the team grows, you will be expected to mentor and guide junior developers.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven professional experience in developing, releasing, and maintaining Flutter applications.
* Strong proficiency in Dart and the Flutter framework.
* Deep understanding of state management solutions, preferably with Riverpod.
* Hands-on experience with Firebase suite (Firestore, Firebase Auth, Cloud Functions, Storage).
* Experience with local data persistence using Isar and/or Hive.
* Proficiency with networking libraries like Dio.
* Experience with third-party integrations (e.g., Google/Apple Sign-In, HealthKit, Google Fit).
* Solid understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
* Experience with deploying applications to both the App Store and Google Play Store.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Must be based in Malaysia.
Bonus Points (Highly Desirable):
* Hands-on experience or a strong foundational knowledge of Computer Vision, LLMs, or other AI/ML concepts.
* Prior experience integrating with wearable device SDKs (Apple Watch, Garmin).
* Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
