"Windows One-Click Utility — Build From Scratch (No Existing Script)
Goal

Create a tiny Windows-friendly utility that generates agent-provider IDs with a single click. There is no existing script—you will design and implement the full solution and package it so it runs on Windows 10/11 without touching the terminal.

What I need

One-click launcher: A desktop icon or minimal GUI with one obvious “Run” button.

From-scratch build: You will implement the ID generation logic end-to-end based on specs we confirm (format/rules, storage path, duplicates handling, etc.).

Zero extra setup: No external installs on my side. Ship a portable .exe or bundle dependencies inside the installer.

Reliable + repeatable: Every click produces a valid ID exactly per the agreed rules, with proper error handling and logging.

Clear confirmation: On success, show a message (and/or write a log) indicating the ID and where it’s saved.

Minimum features

Simple UI: One button to generate; a small status area for success/error.

Output storage: Save to a CSV/JSON or my specified data store; prevent duplicates.

Config file (optional): Editable text/INI/JSON for format rules, output path, prefix/length, date stamps, etc.

Logging: Write a lightweight log file for audit (timestamp, user, generated ID).

Permissions: Handle paths without requiring admin; if admin is needed, explain why and prompt gracefully.

Antivirus-friendly: Package to minimize false positives; no scary warnings.

Deliverables

Final executable (.exe) and source code (so I can maintain it later).

One-click launcher (desktop shortcut or self-contained GUI).

Short, non-technical usage guide (README with screenshots): how to run, where files go, how to change basic settings.

Quick hand-off demo (call or screen-recorded video) proving end-to-end stability.

Acceptance criteria

Runs on my Windows 10/11 machine with no additional software installs beyond what you bundle.

One click → completes the full process → shows success message → output saved in the correct location.

Handles common errors gracefully (e.g., file locked, no permission, duplicate ID attempt).
