"Project: Accessibility Compliance & Audit-Readiness (IAAP Standard) Website Development
Objective
We need an experienced accessibility professional/developer to help us make our digital platform 100% compliant with accessibility standards so that it passes an IAAP-certified accessibility audit.

Scope of Work
1. Accessibility Audit (Initial Check)
o Review current website (or web app) for accessibility gaps.
o Identify issues against WCAG 2.1 AA (or later), GIGW guidelines, and IS 17802 standards.
o Provide a structured report of non-compliance areas.

2. Remediation & Development
o Redesign/update pages, content, and code to meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
o Ensure proper use of semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, keyboard navigation, contrast ratios, and accessible forms.
o Make PDFs, media (videos, images), and downloadable docs compliant (e.g., tagged PDFs, captions, alt text).
o Ensure compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.

3. Audit Preparation & Testing
o Work towards making the site “audit-ready” for certification.
o Conduct usability testing with persons with disabilities (if possible).
o Provide final accessibility conformance report with remediation proof.

Deliverables
• Initial accessibility audit report.
• Fully remediated, accessibility-compliant website.
• Final audit-readiness package, including accessibility statement & documentation.
• Handover guidelines for internal team (how to maintain accessibility in future updates).

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong expertise in web accessibility (WCAG 2.1 / WCAG 2.2).
• Familiarity with IAAP CPACC, WAS, or other certifications preferred.
• Experience with GIGW and Indian ICT accessibility standards (IS 17802) a plus.
• Proven track record of making websites audit-ready.
• Knowledge of ARIA roles, semantic HTML5, accessible design patterns.
• Ability to create accessible documents (Word, PDF) and multimedia.

• Milestone will release upon successful delivery of project
