"Futures trading Chart indicator needed: I would like to see how a backmonth futures spread correlates to its front month contract(the beta). This could be just a simple line added to my basic chart.

I need a small, self-contained program that connects to the Interactive Brokers API and continuously publishes the beta of a back-month futures contract spread to its corresponding front-month. The calculation must update in real time while also drawing on a definable slice of historic prices so that the beta remains statistically meaningful as markets evolve through the session.

You are free to build in any language officially supported by IB (Python, Java, C#, C++), but the finished file should launch with a single command, pull the necessary data, and output the rolling beta value to both the console and a lightweight chart window or web dashboard.

Deliverables
• Source code with clear inline comments
• A short README covering environment setup and the exact contract symbols used for testing
• Screenshot or short clip showing the indicator running live on the IB paper account

Acceptance criteria
1. The script connects, requests both historical and streaming ticks, and begins calculating within 30 seconds.
2. Beta refreshes at a user-defined interval (default 1 second) without freezing or desynchronising.
3. Switching the contract IDs in a config file is all that is needed to track a different spread.
