Project description:
"I’m enhancing my retail e-commerce site and the primary goal of this update is to add new features—specifically a fully fledged wishlist module. Shoppers should be able to create and manage multiple wishlists from their account dashboard, then receive automatic notifications whenever an item on any of those lists drops in price.
The new functionality needs to blend naturally with the current product, cart, and user systems, display live stock and pricing, and remain fully responsive on mobile and desktop. Notification opt-ins must respect GDPR/email-marketing best practices, and the whole flow should feel native to the existing design language. I’m not tackling customer reviews or advanced search right now, but I’d like the code structured cleanly enough that future feature add-ons won’t be a headache.
Deliverables
• Front-end interface for adding items, naming multiple wishlists, and viewing price-drop alerts
• Back-end logic (or app/plugin) that stores wishlist data, tracks price changes, and triggers notifications
• Admin controls to view usage stats and manually resend or mute alerts
• Deployment instructions plus hand-off documentation so my in-house team can maintain or extend the feature later
I’m open to your preferred stack—whether you integrate directly in the existing platform (Shopify app, WooCommerce plugin, custom Laravel or Node module, etc.) or build a standalone micro-service—so long as performance stays snappy and the UX feels seamless. Let me know your approach, timelines, and any clarifying questions." (client-provided description)
