"I’m kicking off an innovative safety tool and need a mobile developer to build a proof-of-concept companion app that can turn a simple tap on a smartwatch or smart wristband into a life-saving SOS.

Scope for this first phase is intentionally lean so we stay within budget while proving the core idea:

• Establish a stable Bluetooth connection with the wearable and listen for its tap/double-tap trigger (I can supply UUIDs or any vendor docs I have).
• On trigger, capture the phone’s current GPS location.
• Instantly send a pre-written SOS text—including latitude and longitude—to a selectable list of contacts.
• Keep latency low even when the phone screen is off or the app is in the background.

Deliverables
1. Functional Android or iOS prototype (whichever platform you can deliver fastest) with clean, commented source code.
2. Short README plus a quick screen-capture or demo video that shows the entire alert flow on real hardware.

No backend, fancy UI, or motion analytics are needed right now; native messaging or share intent is fine for sending the alert. Solid Bluetooth connectivity and reliable location tracking are the critical pieces.
