"My WordPress site is live, but two critical issues remain after the previous developer finished: every file upload triggers an HTTP 500 error and, overall, the back-end and front-end feel sluggish. I’d like you to jump in, with an initial emphasis on the WordPress design layer as that is where I suspect the conflict originates, and quickly get the site back to normal speed and stability.

You’ll need to trace the exact cause of the 500-error message during media uploads (theme, plugin, PHP limits, permissions—whatever it is) and eliminate it without breaking existing features. Once uploads work flawlessly, optimise the site so pages load snappily and the admin dashboard is responsive. Expect access to the hosting control panel, database, and the current theme repository; please be comfortable profiling PHP, inspecting server logs, tweaking MySQL, configuring caching, and using standard tools such as WP-CLI.
