Project description:
"I’m looking for a developer who can assemble a lean, proof-of-concept bike-sharing app for both iOS and Android that talks directly to Omni’s IoT bike-lock controller. I’ll supply the official SDK and step-by-step integration guide; your job is to wire it into a clean, minimal mobile experience I can demo to stakeholders.
Core features I need working in this first pass:
• Bike reservation: a rider chooses an available bike and reserves it for a short window.
• Real-time tracking: show the bike’s live location on a map using the data streamed by the controller.
• Payment processing: accept a basic card payment or wallet top-up to begin a ride.
User roles to cover:
• User / Rider — register, locate a bike, reserve, unlock, ride, pay, and end the trip.
• Admin — simple web or in-app console to see active bikes, current reservations, and basic ride stats.
• Maintenance Staff — flag bikes for repair and mark them “back in service” after a fix.
I only need a solid MVP: straightforward screens, no fancy animations, just reliable flows that prove the concept. If React Native or Flutter speeds things up, that’s fine; two thin native apps also work if you prefer. All code should be cleanly commented so I can extend it later.
Deliverables
1. Compilable source code for iOS and Android.
2. Basic set-up instructions and build script.
3. Brief README showing how the IoT SDK is invoked for lock/unlock and tracking.
4. Short video or screenshots demonstrating each core flow.
If you’ve connected mobile apps to Bluetooth-enabled or cellular IoT devices before, let me know—especially anything in mobility or micromobility. I’d like to start immediately and wrap up the demo build quickly, so please include an estimated timeline with your proposal." (client-provided description)
