Project description:
"I need a real-time leaderboard that plugs straight into my existing web application and updates the moment a user places a wager. The integration must track each wager amount and surface it instantly so visitors can see who is climbing the ranks in real time. I’d like to build this on—or at least remain compatible with—an open-source live-tracking stack, so feel free to suggest a solution that leans on [login to view URL], Firebase, Supabase, or any comparable real-time framework you’re comfortable with.
Here’s what the component has to do:
• Display the primary user label (username or unique handle) along with a running total of their wager amounts.
• Refresh automatically without page reload; latency needs to feel instantaneous during high-traffic moments.
• Slot seamlessly into my current front-end (vanilla JS with a small React widget area), while keeping the back-end language-agnostic.
• Offer clean endpoints or events so I can push data from my existing wager engine and, if needed, pull it back out for reporting.
Acceptance will be based on:
1. Smooth, flicker-free real-time updates inside my web app’s staging environment.
2. Clear install & config instructions that a mid-level developer can follow.
3. Code delivered under a permissive open-source licence (MIT or similar) so I can extend it later.
If you have past work with live dashboards, betting/wager systems, or WebSocket-driven UIs, that experience will be a huge plus. Let me know which framework you propose to anchor the live tracking and how quickly you can spin up a demo." (client-provided description)
